Jennifer Monticello telling her story

Survival taught her how to live, Truth taught her how to heal.

BG_02.jpg

This book is the story of a woman who learned how early survival skills can quietly shape an entire life.

Jennifer grows up in a loud, loving home that slowly fractures under financial collapse, fear, and instability. As a child, she learns to read people quickly, to stay alert, to adapt. As an adult, those same instincts pull her into dangerous relationships, morally gray worlds, and moments where silence feels safer than truth.

From high-risk professional entanglements and hidden criminal systems, to stalking, repeated pregnancy loss, and a marriage built on withheld truths, Jennifer’s life becomes a series of tests she never asked for. Again and again, she survives by staying composed, compliant, and strong on the outside. Even when it costs her peace.

At the center of the story is motherhood. The loss of twins. The birth of her son Gianni. And the slow realization that protecting him requires protecting herself in ways she never learned how to do before.

This is not a story about victimhood. It is a story about believing  the red flags, about awakening. About untangling loyalty from love. Fear from intuition. Strength from silence.

It is the story of a woman who finally stops running. And chooses herself.

She was not broken.
She was becoming.
